DESCRIPTION

Some say 2 in 1, we say double barrelled.

From first light in the mai mai to standing on the peg, the Swing-Through Jacket is built for those who appreciate the full experience of the hunt. Cold mornings, steady rain, and long days in the field are all part of it and this jacket is designed to take it in stride.

Blending warmth, protection, and refined style, it’s as comfortable in the field as it is back at the lodge. The kind of jacket that doesn’t just perform when it matters, but looks right doing it.

MATERIALS & CARE

Notes on Washing: To extend the life of the garment and for best performance, close all zips including pocket zips. Use a small amount of non-scented LIQUID detergent and gentle wash at a temperature below 40º Celsius. DO NOT use powder detergents, fabric softener or chlorine bleach. Powder detergents include artificial scents, UV brighteners and abrasives that will reduce the life of the garment. Warm tumble dry, or line dry after washing.

Care after every use: Clean or wipe down any dirt, blood, or sweat. Ensure your rainwear layer is fully DRY before you store it away. Ensure that the environment where you store your garments is in a dry damp-free place. Ensure rainwear items are hanging up and not stored in a cram bag or screwed up in a heap.

Durable Water Repellency (DWR): If you notice that the water is not beading off the outer surface it’s time to replenish the DWR. Wash your garment through a standard wash cycle (use liquid detergent), then you can wash it again using an in-wash DWR replenisher (at 30°C) OR a spray on DWR replenisher. Dry the garment at a LOW temperature in a tumble dryer or air dry.

Packed with PrimaLoft® Silver insulation, this jacket delivers high thermal efficiency with minimal bulk. Engineered to keep your core warm in cold, exposed conditions without restricting movement.

1. OUTER LAYER
The outer layer is constructed from T800 twill face fabric with mechanical stretch, delivering a durable texture that moves with you. Its 2-way stretch design enhances mobility, while the DWR coating repels water, dirt and blood to keep you protected in demanding conditions. Fully seam sealed, it provides complete coverage against the elements.

2. PU HYDROPHILIC MEMBRANE
At the core is a PU hydrophilic membrane that is 100% windproof, waterproof and breathable. With a full fabric rating of 20,000mm, it delivers maximum protection from the elements while allowing moisture to escape, keeping you dry and comfortable.

3. PRIMALOFT® SILVER INSULATION
PrimaLoft® Silver insulation delivers high thermal efficiency without adding unnecessary bulk. The insulation volume is strategically distributed to provide warmth and comfort exactly where you need it, ensuring optimal performance in cold conditions.

4. LINING
The lining is made from 170GSM brushed polyester tricot, offering a soft, comfortable feel against the skin while helping to retain warmth and enhance overall comfort.

I looked at several brands

I looked at several brands.i wanted something that was warm and waterproof . Ideal for the maimai or laydown blind but also utilitarian value.Its not that hot you cant go for a walk or a climb you will get warm. But i liked the bottom zip on the front pockets easy to unload shells or the twigs that can accumulate. Also the magnets that hold the pockets flaps open when the shooting is fast. Resistent to blackberry and matigouri.its a great jacket

Awesome New Jacket

Gave the new swing through jacket the acid test at Te Konini Shoot last week. Weather was rubbish with drizzle and intermittent heavy showers all day.
Ended the day drenched, but only on the outside. Warm and dry on the inside.
Great piece of kit and fully recommended in cooler temperatures. Thanks Stoney Creek
